In a feat driven by faith, endurance, and passion for adventure, Jeddah-based Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman and his wife Amal Ahmed have completed an astonishing 62,218-kilometer motorcycle journey across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, earning a world record in the process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 24-day expedition took the couple across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain, where they braved harsh desert climates, celebrated national days with fellow bikers, and promoted regional tourism \u2014 all while sharing a lifelong dream forged through their shared love of biking.<\/p>\n

Mir, originally from Hyderabad, and Amal, a native of Jeddah, began their biking journey six years ago after getting married. What started as a personal hobby evolved into a powerful symbol of their commitment, not just to each other, but to cross-border cultural connection through travel.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis journey wasn\u2019t just about visiting places,\u201d Shakeel said. \u201cIt was about friendships, shared celebrations, and showing that love and unity can ride on two wheels.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple kicked off their trip in November 2024, departing Jeddah for Makkah, then riding through Taif and Riyadh before crossing into the UAE. Along the way, they encountered sandy weather, mechanical hiccups, and long stretches of isolation \u2014 but also warmth from fellow bikers and help from authorities.<\/p>\n

In Riyadh, they met motorcyclists from across the Kingdom, Iraq, and Bahrain. In Abu Dhabi, they were honored guests of Sheikh Suhail Bin Hasher Al-Maktoum, known as the \u201cFather of All Bikers,\u201d during celebrations for the UAE\u2019s 53rd National Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a magical night,\u201d Amal said. \u201cThe bikers we met, the stories we shared, and the hospitality we received made it unforgettable.\u201d<\/p>\n

From there, the couple rode into Oman, where they were hosted by local motorcycle groups who guided them through historic and scenic sites like Nizwa Fort and Jebel Akhdar. Amal described the Green Mountain as the \u201chighlight of our entire journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

They wrapped up their tour in Bahrain, participating in the high-energy Bahrain Bike Week, surrounded by motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. Just as they were preparing to return home, they received the news: they had set the record for the longest motorcycle expedition by a couple, verified by KALAM\u2019s World Record organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe dedicate this record to everyone who supported us,\u201d Shakeel said. \u201cMost of all, I dedicate it to my wife, Amal.\u201d<\/p>\n
