Chairman Irfan Khokhar has urgently called on the government to arrange immediate imports to avoid historic shortages.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"889\"><strong data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"528\">Prices Could Surge Sharply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"889\">Irfan Khokhar stated that without prompt action, the domestic LPG cylinder price could rise beyond Rs. 6,000, with per kilo rates reaching Rs. 500. Commercial cylinders may cost between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 23,000. Pakistan&#8217;s current LPG consumption is around 6,000 metric tons per day, but local monthly production stands at just 60,000 to 70,000 metric tons.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1173\"><strong data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"922\">Storage and Import Concerns<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1173\">Khokhar criticized Pakistan\u2019s limited storage capacity\u2014just 13,000 metric tons at Port Qasim\u2014comparing it to Bangladesh\u2019s 300,000 metric tons. He also noted the shutdown of the Pak-Iran border, which had supplied 100,000 metric tons of LPG monthly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1351\">He urged the government to seize control of OGDCL\u2019s production from alleged \u201cgas mafias\u201d and to ensure fair distribution through SSGC, PSO, and PARCO under transparent bidding.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1525\">All distributors and retailers have been advised to maintain full stock levels.
