ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast significant weather changes starting from June 13, as moist currents penetrate the upper parts of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A westerly wave is also expected to enter the region, triggering widespread weather activity over the coming days.<\/p>\n

The impact will be felt across several areas, bringing a much-needed break from the intense heatwave gripping Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Regions to Receive Rain and Dust Storms<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dust storms and rain-thundershowers, with isolated hailstorms, are predicted for Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan,<\/p>\n

Murree, Galliyat, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad from June 13 to 16, with intermittent gaps.<\/p>\n

Islamabad and Rawalpindi are also included in the affected regions, along with cities in northern and central<\/p>\n

Punjab such as Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot,<\/p>\n

Narowal, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Toba Tek Singh.<\/p>\n

Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, and southern KP districts like D.I. Khan, Waziristan, and Kohat will also experience similar weather conditions.<\/p>\n

Southern Punjab and upper Sindh districts are expected to witness dust storms and thunder-rain during the same period.<\/p>\n

Public Advisory and Expected Impacts<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PMD has warned of possible damage to weak structures such as electric poles, trees, and solar panels due to windstorms and lightning.<\/p>\n

Farmers have been advised to plan their agricultural activities in accordance with the forecast.<\/p>\n

The prevailing heatwave conditions are expected to ease during the spell, offering some relief to the general public.<\/p>\n

Travelers and tourists are urged to stay informed and exercise caution while commuting in affected regions.
